I have taught regular technique and improvisation classes as a company artist at Frontier Danceland (2012-2014) and Maya Dance Theatre (2014-2017). I have also facilitated pre-performance warm-up classes for professional dancers.
I have taught technique classes in contemporary dance for adults ranging from beginners to professionals. I have taught teenagers, young people, and the very young, particularly with Rolypoly Family. I have taught and continue to teach neurodiverse populations.
For students training to enter the dance profession (Lasalle College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, School of the Arts, MOE-NAC Dance Talent Development Programme), I have mentored compositional work and taught classes based in technique, improvisation, contact and partnering, repertoire and interdisciplinary work.
I believe that learning is greatest when there is co-discovery, and hold fast to the idea that the transmission of knowledge is not one-directional. Dance, as an evolving art form literally on the move, demands particularly nimble modes of study and exchange.

"Sharing the Dance" is a reference to the title of Cynthia Novack's book about contact improvisation and danced culture.
